PocketRepo Privacy Policy
Updated September 12, 2026
The short version
PocketRepo does not collect any information about you. It has no accounts and does not use the internet, so it never sends anything anywhere on its own. A payload leaves your iPhone only when you send it: as the QR codes you choose to show on its screen, or through the share sheet, where you pick the app that receives it.
The camera
PocketRepo uses the camera only to read the animated QR codes another device shows. The codes are read on your iPhone as they arrive. The app does not take photos or record video, and no camera images are saved or sent anywhere.
PocketRepo never uses the microphone.
Your payloads
The payloads you download are stored in PocketRepo's own storage on your iPhone. They stay there until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Like the rest of your iPhone's data, they can be included in your own iCloud or computer backups, depending on your backup settings.
When you broadcast a payload, your screen shows it as QR codes, so any camera that can see the screen can read it. Broadcast where you're comfortable with that.
Share hands a copy of the selected payload to another app on your iPhone, the one you pick in the share sheet. What happens to it then is up to that app, which may save it, attach it to a message, or send it over the internet. PocketRepo has no part in that.
No analytics, ads, or tracking
PocketRepo has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. It contains no third-party code that collects data. The people who make PocketRepo never receive a copy of anything you download or broadcast.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here and in the app with a new date at the top.
